About T.RAD North America

T.RAD North America: Our Journey from a Local Partnership to Global Leader

Established in 1988 as "CoPAR, Inc.," T.RAD North America began as a joint venture between Toyo Radiator Co., LTD of Japan and an American manufacturer. Our goal?  To build the world’s most reliable heat exchangers to meet the rapidly expanding demand in the agricultural and construction equipment markets. Hopkinsville, KY, was selected as the company’s North American headquarters due to its strategic central location, mild climate, and southern hospitality.

In those days, we concentrated on manufacturing copper/brass radiators in our 61,000-square-foot facility. In 1991, Toyo Radiator acquired CoPAR, Inc. and operated under that name until 2005, when the company  rebranded as T.RAD to better align with the company’s global growth.

And we did grow!  The copper/brass facility nearly  doubled in size to 100,000 square feet, adding cutting-edge equipment like a vacuum brazing furnace.  Then in 2000 we launched another production facility to work with Aluminum.

We dedicated this 100,000-square-foot of production space  to produce aluminum products to  meet the needs of motorcycles and off-road machines.  Since then,  we’ve added  an additional 100,000 square feet and lead the industry in providing heat-exchange technology to many of the sector’s top companies.

We now enjoy a global presence and are recognized  innovators in heat-exchange technology and design.  We’ve accomplished this by maintaining excellent partnerships with our customers, suppliers, and with the help of our incredible team of talented employees.   Our story doesn’t end here as we continue to expand.   If you are committed to excellence, then consider joining our T.RAD North America team!
