T.RAD Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Manufacturing
An Exhaust Gas Recirculation system (EGR), is a system used in internal combustion engines to reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions. It operates by recirculating a portion of an engine's exhaust gas back into the engine cylinders. This process significantly reduces NOx emissions by lowering the combustion temperature inside the engine. The EGR system redirects exhaust gases from the exhaust manifold back into the intake manifold, where it mixes with fresh air before entering the combustion chamber. By introducing inert exhaust gas into the combustion chamber, EGR lowers the peak combustion temperature, which is crucial for NOx reduction.
The EGR system is an important component in the effort to minimize the environmental impact of internal combustion engines.
